Shelby Township, Mich., December 17, 2025 — Ascential Technologies, a leading global provider of automated diagnostic, inspection, assembly and test systems and services across a wide range of industries, has announced the appointment of Ward Van de Walle as director of advanced engineering for its Test & Measurement Systems division. Previously, Van de Walle served as head of the company’s Aerospace & Industrials (A&I) business unit. In his new role, Van de Walle will lead efforts across the advanced engineering department, focusing on advancement and innovation, continuous improvement, the protection of the company’s intellectual property and bolstering its existing product portfolio.

Van de Walle has extensive experience in driving engineering excellence and market-driven innovation. He brings a unique combination of technical know-how, global industry perspective and strategic product insight to the role.

Most recently, Van de Walle held the position of vice president of A&I, in which he was responsible for overseeing five industrial brands: Cimat, Galileo, Titan, LISMAR and Kleinknecht. Before that, he was chief technology officer & vice president of new business development, also at Ascential Technologies. His experience with Ascential Technologies’ legacy brand, Burke Porter, began in 2002 when he worked for Burke E. Porter Machinery for over 18 years.

Van de Walle holds a degree in civil engineering and materials from Ghent University and an MBA from Vlerick Business School.
