Our Heavy Duty EPA Chassis Dynamometers are integrated into the customer supplied test specimen—it provides precise speed and load simulation conditions on the test article(s). With the machine installed above floor level, the gearboxes are installed onto a main torque reaction frame using the customer supplied overhead crane and are held in place with a fixture or restraint system with reusable mechanical components.
Our system then simulates full load conditions in the speed and power control modes based on the specimen under test—this allows the gearbox to experience the same forces as it would in the field while monitoring temperatures, pressures, accelerometers and operating oil pumps and fans.
