Cerberus X1 is a gas monitoring system for flammable gases such as R600, R290, and R32. It is not only a gas monitoring system but also manages the safety supervision of charging and hazardous areas by controlling functions such as ventilation speed, power, and refrigerant supply. Cerberus X1 detects flammable hydrocarbons with gas monitoring sensors and can manage up to 8 gas sensors.
The system features gas presence sensors, differential pressure sensors on the ventilation line, temperature sensors to control safety valves on the refrigerant pipeline, end-of-course switches for correct closing of protection fences, a general emergency switch, and the ability to manage up to 2 Wind ventilation systems. An optional communication link with control software installed on a remote PC is also available.
If Cerberus X1 is connected to a gas sensor with SIL2 performance level (IEC 61508), it can guarantee the safety function by switching off power and increasing ventilation speed to PLd level in accordance with EN 13489.
