Manual dual-voltage demagnetizing unit for removing magnetic interference from industrial rolls before Eddy Current inspection.
Magnetic spots can develop as a result of heavy mechanical pressure of the roll during the rolling process or as a result of contact with magnetic objects, such as measuring equipment on a magnetic base. These magnetic spots interrupt the eddy currents and cause false indications of cracks and pinches/bruises. It is necessary to remove the magnetic spots by means of a demagnetizing unit.
To demagnetise rolls, we recommend using a manual demagnetizing unit. LISMAR’s manual demagnetizing unit works on 220 and 120 volts with a magnetizing force of 245 gauss. Additionally, a version with an attached rolling element can be supplied; a predefined distance to the roll surface will be achieved with this attached rolling element.
| Operating Voltage | 220 and 120 volts |
| Magnetizing Force | 245 gauss |
| Type | Manual demagnetizing unit |
| Optional Feature | Version with attached rolling element available for maintaining predefined distance to roll surface |
The Demagnetizing Unit from Ascential Test & Measurement is a manual dual-voltage demagnetizing device used to remove magnetic interference from industrial rolls before Eddy Current inspection. Magnetic spots on rolls can cause false indications of cracks and bruises during testing.
