Today, Kleinknecht can carry out modernizations of almost all types of machines—complete control systems, switchgear, drives, and measuring systems and mechanical revamps for machine tools.
In the field of machine tools Kleinknecht started to produce electrical equipment for roll grinders over 60 years ago. To date, over 400 of these machines have been fitted with various types of control systems. In this area specifically, Kleinknecht GPC control systems for roll grinders have performed long term operation all over the world and are highly regarded among users—they cut training hours and make the machine very user friendly. Kleinknecht is also successfully modernizing automotive applications with their engineering base in Lohfelden. The revamp of aluminium/magnesium pressure casting with a robot interface is one of our core competencies. This also includes the upgrade of the PLC and drives system and a brand new HMI environment with analysis functions.
