heritage
Over 70 years of transformative innovation and growth
We built ourselves from the ground up, starting as Burke E. Porter Machinery Company with our first notable product being the original fully electric Dynamic Vehicle Test (DVT) roll/brake machine. This end-of-line testing system, introduced shortly after the companyβs founding in 1953, set the global standard for precision and safety in automotive production. It enabled manufacturers to test and calibrate brake systems and vehicle dynamics on all four wheels in a single pass, paving the way for advancements in alignment, emissions, ADAS calibration and safety testing.
From here, the company expanded through strategic acquisitions with purpose, bringing together a range of experts and complementary technical disciplines to create a bolstered offering for customers, including a host of assembly and testing solutions that are the cornerstone of Ascential Technologiesβ legacy.
