The CMT-VSR is dedicated to high-speed core balancing of passenger car and light/medium commercial vehicle turbochargers. The machine ensures high production efficiency of approximately 150 to 200 cores per 450-minute shift.
The core is installed on the machine hub using an adapter plate with two clamps. The turbine wheel is driven by compressed air supplied through a sleeve with a nozzle system. During unbalance measurement, oil at the appropriate temperature and pressure is supplied. The measurement result is a vibration graph plotted as a function of rotational speed. To simplify analysis, the software indicates the exact angular position of the unbalance. Balancing across the full range of rotational speeds extends turbocharger lifespan and eliminates undesirable whistling.
