Proven brake testing for light and heavy vehicles

Our brake testers come as twin roller machines designed to test the vehicle brake force at low speed (maximum 10 km/h). Four motors/reductors or gear motor assemblies are mounted directly on the roller shaft, which acts as a sensor roller for speed measurement to guarantee effective brake force determination. The moveable part on the rear or front axle is set to adapt to the vehicle wheelbase. Side rollers, vehicle detection and vehicle guiding are all part of the package as well as a fixed or adjustable exhaust flap for exhaust extraction. Additionally, the machine can be operated as a stand-alone system or can be controlled by an external master system.

Smarter brake testing starts here

Our roll and brake testing equipment comes as a single or twin roller machine. Both machine types are equipped with the latest 4AC technology with energy recuperation. The movable part on the rear or front axle is set to adapt to the vehicle’s wheelbase. Side rollers, retaining rollers or safety rollers can be selected, with vehicle detection and vehicle guiding as part of the package. The machine can be operated as a standalone system or can be controlled by an external master system. Generally, a sound insulation booth is installed to provide optimal testing conditions.

Simulated road stress for real production confidence

Burke Porter rattle and twist machines are designed to simulate a test-track environment. Road surface twisting effects are simulated by independently tilting the front and rear axle to approximately Β±10Β°. The vehicle's wheelbase is set by adjusting the rear part of the machine, making this machine ideally suited for use in both production line environments and pilot plants. Rattle and squealing noises are easily detected through this process. Furthermore, side rollers, retaining rollers, vehicle detection and vehicle guiding are part of the package and the cobblestone pattern on the rolls can be adjusted to meet the customer’s specifications.

Modular calibration systems built for evolving tech

Our calibration machines for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are equipped to handle the latest technological features found on today’s vehicles. Designed as a modular concept, our machines meet unique customer requirements and can be integrated as a stand-alone machine. Burke Porter has extensive expertise in the testing and calibration of ADAS and can supply you with level 2 up to level 5 ADAS calibration machines.

3D laser alignment meets modular flexibility

Ascential Technologies’ wheel aligner machine is equipped with Burke Porter’s 3D laser technology for high accuracy toe, camber and caster measurement. Our wheel alignment machines are modular, allowing flexibility to meet customer requirements, and can be operated as a stand-alone system or controlled by an external master system. The moveable part on the rear axle adapts to the vehicle’s wheelbase while the vehicle is positioned on four floating plates and centered. Front, rear and/or side slides offer optimal clearance for underbody adjustments and a headlight aiming facility can be fully integrated as well. Further, height and weight measurements are available in addition to the integration of several drive aid test systems. Burke Porter also supplies robotic automatic toe and headlamp adjustment.

Fully automated wheel balancing, built for speed and precision

We offer fully automated wheel balancing lines for adhesive weights, designed to handle a full range of wheel types with fast cycle times and ISO-compliant performance. The system includes both primary and audit balancers for initial and final unbalance measurement, along with automated cut-to-length and multi-color weight dispensing, weight transfer and application systems. Centralized wheel parameter control ensures consistency across machines, while semi-automated options are available for knock-on and adhesive weight applications.
