Hay Baler – Round & Square

Titan Hay Baler – Round & Square system for mobile equipment implements – end-of-line applications. We have stations capable of fully functionally testing large round, large square, and small square balers. The testing system uses an electrical VFD driven PTO spline with the PTO shaft mounted on a swing arm. The system includes a full HPU to run auxiliary functions such as bale liftgate lift, tying mechanism, bale alignment, tensioning system, etc.
Combine Draper Header

Titan Combine Draper Header system for mobile equipment implements – end-of-line applications. This test system runs functional tests on fully assembled combine draper header systems. This system was designed to automate functional testing, break-in, and assembly validation of header systems prior to installation into the completed combine.
Tractor Axles

Titan Tractor Axles system for powertrain axles applications. Tractor axles require functional testing to assure they were assembled properly before they are married to the main tractor chassis. Axles can be spin tested to break in the gear sets and bearings. Designed and built to improve performance, profitability, and quality, our custom-built powertrain verification & validation and automated assembly systems are second to none. Rear Axle Differential

Pinion Gear & Housing

Titan Pinion Gear & Housing system for powertrain axles applications. This is a two-station assembly system for pinion shaft to the housing assembly for a line of wheel loaders for the construction industry. First station is a servo pressing station locating cups in pinion housing and bearing cones on pinion gear shaft. Second station tightens nut on pinion shaft to remove endplay and set preload on tapered roller bearings. Rolling torque is measured automatically to verify bearing preload. Manual material handling with electronically controlled assembly operations. Each step must be completed before operator moves to next stage.
Axle Shafts & Housing

Titan Axle Shafts & Housing system for powertrain axles applications. Titan has created several systems for assembling and testing large tractor rear axle assemblies. The system allows an operator to insert tapered roller bearings and shaft into a cast housing assembly. A pressing tool cart features the different gauge heads and assembly tools. The Test Stand directs the operator where to put the axle shaft, where the bearings go on the shaft. The shaft goes into the housing using an overhead crane. The system performs a comprehensive test of the axle, checking for rolling torque and preload on the bearings. The system also helps the operator select the right shims when compensation is required. The system walks the operator through the assembly process to ensure that the axle is correctly assembled before it is connected to the tractor.
Truck – Manual Shift

Class 3-8 Truck – Automatic

Titan Class 3-8 Truck – Automatic system for powertrain transmission applications. Test stations designed and built to simulate a fully functional commercial truck. Using two VFD Controlled Electrical Motors these stations simulate the input shaft from the engine and the output shaft from the drivetrain to make these transmission feel like they are at home in the truck they are meant for. Automatic transmissions commanded via CAN bus from a simulated Driver Interface Device (DID) to engage FNR gears. The transmission determines shifting points based on input/output shaft speeds, requested acceleration, and torque. These are CAN-based systems with the transmission controller and the engine simulation control working in harmony to apply the right amount of torque, engage/disengage the clutch, command the shift, and to smoothly transition from one gear to the next. The system includes a full computer-based NVH system incorporating accelerometers, microphones, laser vibrometers, torque and speed sensors. Live data is captured for the full test of the transmission, recording live data at up to 10khz per channel.
