Wet Clutch

Titan Wet Clutch system for powertrain transmission applications. Custom test station designed and built to test large commercial truck wet clutches. These hydraulic clutches rely on non-contact engagement to almost eliminate wear and tear by compressing oil forming a bond between the clutch plates. This test station fully functionally tests engagement/disengagement, lockup, and hysteresis.
CVT Transmission Front Cover

Titan CVT Transmission Front Cover system for powertrain transmission applications. This is a five-station assembly line for the front portion of a tractor transmission. The system aids manual operation of 1-5 operators depending on production throughput requirements. Each station uses manual material handling, but assembly operations are electronically controlled to assure each step is completed before the operator can move on to the next. It assembles various tapered roller bearings, shafts, gear sets, oil tubes, and bearing carriers to the main casting assembly. Bearing preload is measured through shaft rolling torques which are critical for product quality.
Transmission Drop Box

Titan Transmission Drop Box system for powertrain transmission applications. Single station assembly press for the front portion of a tractor transmission that aids manual operation for one operator. The system aides manual operation for one operator. The station uses manual material handling but assembly operations are electronically controlled to assure each step is completed before the operator can move on to the next. Mining Truck Rear Strut Assembly & Test

Titan has built several different systems for assembling and testing hydraulic struts for heavy-duty mining trucks. Strut components are very heavy and large which make them difficult to handle safely. It is critical that the sensitive seal between the rod and the housing is not damaged during insertion.

In addition, it is critical that the sensitive seal between the rod and the housing is not damaged during the insertion process. The front strut also serves as the pivot for the front wheel. The seal must hold pressure while the rod rotates.
